Privacy Policy

Floored is built by Fuzzy Side Up for flooring professionals. The short version: your data is yours. Floored has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no accounts. We never see your jobs, your customers, or your measurements.

What the app stores

Floored stores the job data you create: floor plans and room geometry, stair measurements, material assignments and estimates, customer name and job address, notes, and photo attachments. This data is kept:

• On your device, in the app's local database; and
• In your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit, container iCloud.com.fuzzysideup.floored) if you're signed into iCloud, so jobs sync across your devices.

CloudKit data lives in your private iCloud database, protected by your Apple ID. We (the developer) have no ability to read, access, or export it. If iCloud is unavailable, data stays local to the device. Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID settings.

What we collect

Nothing. Floored contains no analytics or telemetry SDKs, no crash-reporting services beyond what Apple provides with your consent, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party trackers. The app makes no network connections to our servers — we don't have any.

Device permissions and why

• Camera / LiDAR — to scan rooms and attach job photos, only when you start a scan or take a photo.
• Bluetooth — to receive measurements from laser measuring devices while you're editing room measurements.
• Location (optional) — to fill in the job address with your current location, only when you tap the button that asks for it.
• Photo library (add only) — to save job photos to your photo library when you ask it to.

Each permission is requested only when the feature needs it, and every feature above works only at your explicit request. Denying or later revoking a permission disables only that feature and does not delete jobs already saved in Floored.

Purchases

The one-time "Unlimited Jobs" unlock is processed entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). We never see your payment details. Purchases and restores are tied to your Apple ID under Apple's own privacy policy.

Sharing and exports

Anything that leaves the app does so only when you initiate it: printing, PDF export, saving photos, or exporting a .flooredjob diagnostic file. A job export can contain customer details, addresses, measurements, materials, notes, and attached photos. Floored shares it only through the destination you choose. If you email a job export to support, we use it solely to troubleshoot your issue and delete it afterward.

When you tap Export to TradePay, Floored transfers the customer, job, material, quantity, and note information shown for that export to the TradePay app. Nothing is sent to TradePay until you initiate the export. After the handoff, TradePay's privacy practices apply.

Retention and deletion

Floored retains a job until you delete it. Deleting a job removes it from the app and synchronizes that deletion through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available. Apple may retain temporary backup or recovery copies under its own policies.

Uninstalling Floored removes local app data from that device but does not necessarily delete records already stored in iCloud. To remove saved jobs, delete them in Floored while signed into the Apple ID used for synchronization. Contact support if you need guidance. Because private CloudKit records belong to your Apple ID, Floored support cannot directly browse or delete those records for you.

This website

This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects no personal information. If you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to help you.

Children

Floored is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone — including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Because we collect nothing, changes are expected to be rare and minor.
