Privacy Policy

Effective July 30, 2026 · Applies to the TradePay app (iOS, iPadOS, macOS) and this website

TradePay is built by Fuzzy Side Up Software for tradespeople who bill their own work. The short version: your data is yours. TradePay has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no accounts. We never see your invoices, your customers, your earnings, or your tax details — there is no server of ours for them to travel to.

What the app stores

TradePay stores the business records you create:

This data is kept:

CloudKit data lives in your private iCloud database, protected by your Apple ID. We — the developer — have no ability to read, access, or export it, and we hold no copy of it. If iCloud is unavailable, TradePay keeps everything locally on the device and tells you so in Settings; nothing is lost.

Two categories deliberately stay on the single device that created them and are never synced: the supporting PDFs you store in the app, and your text size and typeface preferences.

What we collect

Nothing. TradePay contains no analytics or telemetry SDKs, no crash-reporting service beyond what Apple provides with your own consent, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party trackers of any kind. The app has no networking code of its own — it makes no connections to our servers, because we don't operate any. It has no login, no account, and no user identifier.

Accordingly, TradePay's App Store privacy declaration states that no data is collected and no tracking occurs.

What leaves your device, and only because you asked

Payment links and QR codes are built locally. When TradePay prints a Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App link or QR code, it assembles that link from the handle you entered and draws the QR code on your device. It does not contact those services, does not register a payment request with them, and never learns whether a customer paid. Payments in TradePay are records you enter yourself. TradePay does not process payments and does not handle card, bank, or account credentials.

Device permissions and why

Each permission is requested only when the feature needs it, and every feature above runs only at your explicit request. Declining or later revoking a permission disables just that feature and never deletes anything already saved in TradePay. TradePay does not request camera, microphone, or location access.

TradePay includes Apple's push-notification entitlement solely so iCloud can tell the app that data changed on another device. The app contains no notification code and never sends you push notifications or marketing messages.

Purchases

The one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited documents is processed entirely by Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We never see or receive your payment details. Purchases and restores are tied to your Apple ID and governed by Apple's own privacy policy and terms. TradePay checks your entitlement with Apple on your device; no purchase information is sent anywhere else.

Your customers' information

The customer details you enter are your business records, and you decide what to collect and how long to keep it. Because that information never reaches us, we cannot look it up, correct it, export it, or delete it on anyone's behalf — you have direct control over all of it inside the app. If a customer of yours asks you to remove their details, delete the client record (and any documents you no longer need) in TradePay while signed into the Apple ID you sync with.

Exports, backups, and support requests

TradePay can export a complete backup as a single JSON file. That file is not encrypted and contains everything, including your taxpayer identification number, your signature image, all client contact details, and your stored supporting PDFs. Store it as carefully as you would any tax document, and do not place it in a shared folder or send it to anyone. If you email us for support, please do not attach a backup file — describe the problem instead, and we'll ask for what we specifically need.

If you do email us, we use your message only to help you, and we keep the correspondence only as long as that takes.

Retention and deletion

TradePay keeps a record until you delete it. Archiving a document keeps it in the app on purpose; deleting it removes it and synchronizes that deletion through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available. Deleting a company also deletes its clients, documents, saved items, and stored PDFs.

Uninstalling TradePay removes the app's local data from that device but does not necessarily delete records already stored in iCloud. To remove your data, delete it in TradePay while signed into the Apple ID used for syncing, or remove the app's iCloud data through your Apple ID settings. Because private CloudKit records belong to your Apple ID, we cannot browse or delete those records for you. Apple may retain temporary backup or recovery copies under its own policies.

Handoff from Floored

If you use our Floored app, it can hand a completed takeoff to TradePay. The customer, material, quantity, and note information is passed directly between the two apps on your device — nothing is uploaded, and nothing is fetched from us. Once the estimate is created, it's ordinary TradePay data covered by this policy.

This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and collects no personal information.

Children

TradePay is a professional business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — including children.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Because we collect nothing, changes are expected to be rare and minor.
